The maximum of five full cycles plus three quarter-cycles is pretty difficult to achieve, and harvests a total of 300 food + 75 towards the next day. The harvest is four Pet Food, each of which restores 15 Hunger. Each step takes an hour, and there are four cycles to get to harvest. Surprisingly, it is not merely decorative, and offers the opportunity to gather food.
